To fix the backup using WMI method upgrade the NetBackup client on the Hyper-V server to 8.x or later. As a workaround you can use VSS backup method type as an alternative.

The only solution usually is to live migrate the failing virtual machine to another OS cluster node or to reboot it. In both cases, this workaround is not very feasible all the time.
