Founded as the University of Florida Endowment Corp. in 1934, the Foundation has worked since the 1950s to inspire alumni and friends to support the University of Florida through private funds and other resources.
The University of Florida Foundation (UFF) is the fundraising arm of the University of Florida. Its purpose is to serve the private giving needs of the university by raising and managing private gifts, then directing those funds and assets according to each donor’s intention. The foundation maintains more than 3,200 separate funds that hold gift money.

An endowment gift to the University of Florida today provides a brighter picture for our future. When you make a donation to our endowment, you give a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits. Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs at UF.
